Olana Energy is looking for a Project Development Director to lead the development of battery storage and data centre projects in Finland and elsewhere in Europe.
The role covers a project from the first site search through to the investment decision: land, grid capacity, permitting, and the financial case that supports funding. Several projects run in parallel at different stages, and the person in this role decides how they progress.
The role suits someone with several years in renewable energy development and strong commercial judgement, who is comfortable running projects independently. It includes an opportunity to become a shareholder in the company.
We have 30 MWh of storage in operation and 190 MWh under construction in Finland and Lithuania. The projects after those are in new European markets. We develop, build, own and operate everything ourselves, so a project stays with the company after the investment decision instead of being sold on. The team is twelve people and decisions do not go through a committee.
We appreciate regular presence at our Helsinki office, though working in Turku is also possible. Applications close on 23 August.
