For municipalities

The time to act is now

In Finland, the amount of solar energy is on the rise, and according to Fingrid's forecast, by 2030, the country is expected to have up to 7 gigawatts of solar power, equivalent to about 5 billion euros in investments.

Municipalities should act swiftly because there is fierce competition for grid capacity. The capacity of the electricity grid acts as a bottleneck in renewable energy construction, and grid capacity can only be reserved once the project has obtained legal approval. Energy projects in neighboring municipalities may reserve capacity before the planned project is realized. It is estimated that even more than 90% of the projects under development may never materialize.

What we offer?

As a company specialized in solar energy, we can provide municipalities with high-quality plans and accurately assess the project's impacts, enabling efficient decision-making within the municipality.

Olana Energyis a Finnish renewable developer focused on solar energy and battery energy. We develop financially attractive and responsible investments with the goal of owning the assets. We believe that renewable energy requires domestic players.

Work and income

The solar power plant provides rental income to the landowner and significant property taxes to the municipality.

The employment effects during the construction phase are substantial, and maintaining the plant creates jobs and business opportunities.

Clean energy

Solar power helps the municipality achieve its climate goals.

Local energy production also enhances energy self-sufficiency.

Attraction

Renewable energy helps the municipality stand out favorably in the competition for residents and investments.

Open and agile collaboration

Our collaboration process is simple. At the heart of our operations is a reliable and personal partnership with landowners and municipalities. The success of the project is mutually beneficial.

Olana takes full responsibility for the project's implementation and bears the associated risks. Transparency and community acceptance are essential factors for the project's success. We involve local residents in the planning process from the outset to ensure that the area's unique characteristics are taken into account.

For solar farms, farmers can choose whether to continue their agricultural activities on the land or retire.

We implement projects based on ecological values, improving soil fertility and biodiversity. We promise that when the operation of the solar farm ends, the fields will be in better condition.
